Sherry Wellborn
The collapsible crate for our flow-through worm bin demonstration arrived on Thursday, May 26th. It looks terrific.

The site on the north edge of the Masonic Cemetery along East 25th Avenue has been weeded. It will be graded by hand on Saturday morning (5-27) at 9 am by a cadre of worm enthusiasts.

Dan and Sherry mulled over the needed modifications to the crate and those will also start on Saturday. The bin should be functional within a week. Sherry will create temporary signage to tell folks what the crate is for.

Other work to be done is permanent signage and artwork for the bin itself. Then the Amazon Sustainability Sub-committee will arrange a worm bin opening ceremony where the first diverted food waste from several households will be offered to hungry red wigglers on the crawl.

So, when you're out walking, slow at the worm crossing on E. 25th, and take a peek at a neighborhood energy descent project underway.
Thanks

Will do on the photos Anne. I rarely manage to take enough shots.

I can't wait to see it in action. Make sure to take a lot of pictures. Once the bedding is in place it can be hard to see how it all works.
