Bees

Some Basic Rules of Flight While Working Your Bees:
• Do not work bees totally alone (severe reaction to sting may require someone else’s assistance);
• Always wear your bee veil as stings to the face & head are especially dangerous;
• Keep an antihistamine (such as benadry) on hand & take it as soon as you notice a more than typically severe reaction;
• Keep an epipen (epinephrine) on hand for severe reactions (this can save your life);
• Know which co-op members have an epipen if you don’t;
• Call 911 if you have a severe reaction to a sting.
