Concrete removal above the existing garden.
School News · 24th June 2010

Teachers, parents, and neighbors have come together at Camas Ridge Elementary to enlarge the school garden and add native trees to the playground.

This June a large section of blacktop was removed so a butterfly garden can be planted. A jackhammer was used to remove concrete above the existing garden to significantly enlarge it.

Composting has begun, but will be improved this summer. Much planning, muscle, time, and donations are needed. Consider helping out if you can. One neighbor donates time with third-graders in the garden during the school year. Others have donated construction time. Email the page editor or visit the school website if you'd like to be involved.
