Kick off the Holiday season with “Art for a Reason”
Saturday, October 30th 10 am to 4 pm. This event will take place at the Reach Center (2520 Harris St)

Art for a Reason is modeled after and sponsored by Dance for a Reason. This event will become an annual fundraiser for “Dance for a Reason,” as well as a benefit for a local, non-profit “Arts” organization. Our mission is to bring together local artists working in a variety of media to share their fine art/craft with our community. Our goal is two-fold: have a successful pre-holiday show for the artists and to “gift” one of our local non-profit agencies. Art for a Reason is about to be born.

We are looking for a limited number of artisans who would like to participate in this wonderful venue for a worthy cause.

Each vendor will have a 2 1/2 x 6 ft. table (or space) to display their art. There is a $20 vendor flat fee, plus 15% of gross sales (which is tax deductible).
Vendors will also be asked to donate one piece of artwork valued at $25 (or more) for the Silent Auction. Proceeds will go to DFAR fundraiser and “Arts” beneficiary.

This event is free to the public.

There will be live entertainment all day, an ongoing raffle, and a silent auction. Pastries and beverages will be available.

Advertising will be widespread: Radio, T.V., Newspapers, Posters, Postcards, and by Word of Mouth.

Due to limited space, the Selection Committee will be choosing artists from a pool of diverse media. We welcome art vendors from jewelry designers, painters, potters, clothing designers . . .

We will gladly accept artwork donations for the Silent Auction from anyone willing to give. You do not need to be a vendor.

Email a description of your work and photos. Include a website if you have one. Please respond to Karen Russo at knrusso,,,cmc.net, 541 729-6115
