Robert A. Davies was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1928. He has lived in Oregon with his wife Jane for forty-two years. He taught at Pacific University for thirty years, having taught preveiously in three other states. Many of his poems have appeared in the little magazines. Davies co-edits Mr. Cogito, an on-line magazine.
Since retirement, in addition to working on a selection of his poems, Davies has written a manuscript July Dreams of Plague. This book arose out of his five years of volunteer work with Cascade AIDS Project. Presently he is working to improve the air quality in his Portland neighborhood.
