The City of Eugene has engaged Amazon Neighbor Sherry Wellborn to maintain its River House Compost Demonstration Site, and lead 13 public compost workshops between now and November 2011.

The workshops are free and open to everyone. They take place at the River House Site and GrassRoots Garden on Coburg Road. There will be three more in September and October of this year. Check the Garden Page Calendar for dates and times.

These workshops are intended for the backyard composter and cover the basics of how compost works as well as a variety of methods that may be used and information about what materials to compost.
